THE penalty for any MotoGP team that infringes the six (6) engines per season rule has been amended. Previously, a team that switched to a non-sealed engine before a was penalised, with the rider having to start from pit lane, 20 seconds behind the field. This is what happened to Loris Capirossi at Phillip Island last year. The amendment is that the rider will still start from pit lane, but 10 seconds behind.
